It's a big break for me: Tapsee
Irene, the character she played in the film, provided Tapsee the perfect launch in Tamil cinema. Today, all top Kollywood heroes want her for their films, though she has signed only Vandhaan Vendraan with Jiiva.
The actress has become busy in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She has signed her first film in Hindi — David Dhawan's remake of Sai Paranjpye's 1981 romantic comedy Chashme Buddoor. Tapsee tells CT, "I had finalized David Dhawan's remake of Chashme Buddoor a few months ago and was waiting for their official announcement. I'm very excited as I'm doing the role made memorable by Deepti Naval. I think it is a big break for me in Hindi cinema."
Meanwhile, this Vishu (April 15), Tapsee's first Malayalam film Doubles will hit screens. Says Tapsee, "I play the pivotal role of Saira Banu in Doubles. I sport a purda throughout the film. Doubles tells the story of twins, played by Mammootty sir and Nadiya Moidu, and how my character changes their life and causes misunderstanding between them. I do not play the love interest of Mammootty sir and there is a big twist in the end."
Tapsee's policy is clear — do as many films in the south and learn the art of doing commercial cinema. This, she believes, will help her to do Hindi films that depend on southern content these days. Says Taapsee, "The characters I've got so far are not that of typical glam girls; there's a lot of depth in the roles. I'm doing films with directors like Krishna Vamsi, and Kannan. Now we hear she is out mingling and like a lady fresh out of a serious relationship, she is making sure to cozy up to an enviable bloke.
Basu, who is currently shooting for her film Singularity, has reportedly found companionship in Hollywood hunk and co-star, Josh Hartnett.
A source from the sets of the film gives us the details, saying, "Bipasha has been getting rather friendly with lead actor Josh. On Saturday night, at a get-together, in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, she was getting a bit too close to him." The source adds, "They also stay at the same hotel, while the rest of the crew put up at another." This has given Bipasha and the Pearl Harbor star a chance to spend even more time together after the shoots.
Since her split with John Abraham, Bipasha was seen in the company of her Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubati.
This time around, the actress seems to have found herself a Hollywood man.

Trisha feels Asin is better than Nayan
‘Bodyguard’ is now making in Hindi with Salman and Kareena Kapoor in lead with the same title. In Telugu, the movie is tentatively titled as ‘Bodyguard’ with Venkatesh and Trisha in lead.
Both Kareena and Trisha were asked to watch the two movies Malyalam ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Kavalan’. While Kareena liked the acting of Nayantara in the original ‘Bodyguard’, Trisha liked Asin over Nayantara. It is expected as Trisha and Nayan were never in good terms because of Simbhu. Nayan thinks it is because of Trisha, she lost Simbhu.
Although she intends giving those roles her unique touch, comparisons are bound to happen once the films are released.
