After 'Yem Maya Chesave', Naga Chaitanya is back with yet another youthful love story starring Tamannah in the lead. Director Sukumar who is known for variety youthful love stories wove his magic again in this love-jealous story.
Balu (Naga Chaitanya), number one student in collage. He is proud and egoistic in nature and can’t digest anyone greater than him. Maha Lakshmi (Tamannah) comes to city from village joins the same collage where Balu studies. Maha Lakshmi who is poor in studies works hard and tops Balu in collage to be loved by Balu who is her Bawa. On the other hand, Balu thinks her love as infatuation.
As the movie progresses, misunderstanding crops up and both chose their own paths and gets separated. Both wanted to show their supremacy decides to engage to different partners. Rest is how both realise their love for each other and unite.
Naga Chaitanya performance is OK in this movie. His performance in the collage scenes is good, but need to improve a lot in emotional scenes. Needs improvement in Dancing skills. His looks are good and costumes are apt.
Tamannah performed well as Maha Lakshmi. But, she too failed to give her best in emotional scenes. She looked gorgeous in traditional Langa Voni or Sarees. She is beautiful and sexy.
The guy who played Ajith role performed well. Tara Alisha who acted as Swapna is in very limited role. Naresh, Vijay Kumar, K R Vijaya justified their roles.
Dharmavarapu Subrahamanyam, Rajesh and MS Narayana acted well in humorous roles.
Director Sukumar always gives a unique characterisation to protagonist again comes up with an egoistic lover character. Sukumar started the movie well and weaved his magic till the interval without any hiccups. The movie is neat with entertaining screenplay till first half. Scenes involving kids, collage scenes and Balu, Tamannah outsmarting each other are entertaining.
However, Sukumar ran out of ideas in second half. Second half is quite an ordinary affair with predictable scenes and outcome at the end. Screenplay in second half is poor with many unwanted scenes. Movie lost its tempo and became lag.
Devi Sri Prasad composed music for the film .The tracks 'Kallu Kallu Plussu..' and 'A square B square..' are composed well. The lyrics for all the songs are well penned and make sense. Editing by Karthika Srinivas is good. Cinematography by Prasad is good. Used vibrant colors to show the love story. Screenplay should have better in Second Half.
100 % Love is a youthful entertainer which appeals to collage going students. First half is entertaining and second half is routine and boring. Sukumar stick to heroes characterisation bit long than required resulting in monotony between scenes. There are some illogic scenes to display his ideas. Number one student copying in exams is to simply display Sukumar ideas. Vijay Kumar and K R Vijaya story should have been scripted better.
Finally, 100 % Love is strictly for youth who loves romantic love stories. There are no entertaining elements to please masses. On the whole, it is an average film can be watched once if you have time.
